Issues with Matthew

These articles examine the literary problems that call Matthew’s reliability into question, beginning from Lukan priority and Matthew’s dependence on Mark. On this view Luke precedes Mark, and Matthew is a derivative reworking of Mark that introduces numerous ad hoc changes; Paul’s use of Luke and his consistency with both Luke and Acts give a further indication of Lukan priority.
